The project has now benefited from grants from Norfolk Community Foundation, Cromer and Sheringham Crab & Lobster Festival and Norfolk County Council's Art Project Fund. We have finished our planned phase of operation and 40 films were completed. However, more films were still underway, so we have now decided to let the project run until May 2011, hoping for 50 films at our final show.

PRESS RELEASE

Got Something to Say About Living Here?      This is your chance!

“2 Minutes of your time” is the Cromer and Sheringham community film-making project, and it’s open to all... pensioners, schoolchildren, fishermen, businessmen, migrant workers, runners, beachcombers, bricklayers, artists, surfers, singers, dreamers... you’re all invited to contribute.  There’s a multitude of life experiences, opinions, skills and interests around every corner, and what better way to link them together than to create a community film.

“For those unable to handle equipment there will be help available. I’ll be happy to talk you through your ideas, and help you create your film. It’s really quite simple, and it’ll be a lot of fun.” says project leader Siri-Susanna Taylor “We will be running regular advice and editing sessions at Cromer Library soon, watch out for the posters or check out the web site for latest news.”

The films will be premiered at “The Crab and Lobster Festival” in May and the “Coast” arts festival in October. The project is organised by the North Norfolk Film Forum and aims to create a wonderful collage of life as it is lived in this area. Information packs are available in Cromer and Sheringham Libraries, at Merchants Place in Cromer and the Upcher Partnership in Sheringham.   The website is packed with the latest news and information, as well as links to some of the films which have been made so far.

Films, and any enquiries should be addressed to either Merchants Place or the Upcher Partnership, to nnfilmforum@live.co.uk or through www.2minutesofyourtime.co.uk
